Bank Flaner

The minimalist metal Flaner bench answers the needs of contemporary outdoor spaces, but would work equally well in private and public interiors. Like the other furniture in the collection designed by Maria Jeglińska-Adamczewska, the bench is supported on distinctive curved legs inspired by the shapes of branches. Made of sheet steel, it is easy to maintain and clean, as well as weatherproof.

Maria Jeglińska-Adamczewska

Maria Jeglińska-Adamczewska werd geboren in Fointainebleau, Frankrijk, in 1983. In 2007 studeerde ze af aan de prestigieuze industriële ontwerpcursus van ECAL in Lausanne en ontving ze een beurs van de IKEA foundation. Ze heeft gewerkt in erkende ontwerpstudio's, bijvoorbeeld voor Konstantin Grcic, Alexander Taylor en Galerie kreo. In 2012 richtte ze haar eigen studio op - Office for Design & Research. De studio richt zich op industrieel ontwerp (meubels, verlichting, functionele objecten), onderzoeksprojecten en tentoonstellingen. Haar klanten zijn onder andere: Ligne Roset, Kvadrat, Plato, Trame, Vitra, Hermès, St. Etienne Design Biennale, London Design Festival, Instytut Adama Mickiewicza, Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej in Warschau. Haar werk heeft deelgenomen aan talrijke Poolse en internationale tentoonstellingen, bijvoorbeeld: Design Museum, Centre Pompidou Metz, Villa Noailles, The Aram gallery en Triennale di Milano. In 2012 cureerde Maria de tentoonstelling "Punkty Widzenia / Punkty Siedzenia" ("Ways of Seeing/Sitting") op het Łódź Design Festival. In 2016 was ze medecurator en ontwerper van het Poolse paviljoen op de London Design Biennale. Tussen 2018 en 2020 werkte ze als creatief directeur van de ARENA DESIGN beurs in Poznań, Polen.
