Chair With A Wooden Base Senda

Senda is a chair in which ease of disassembly and material recycling play a key role. Its frame, upholstered seat cushion and base can be separated without altering their structure. In the version with a wooden base, Senda combines a modern form with a natural finish. The bucket seat with its rounded lines contrasts with the warmth of the wood, creating a harmonious whole that fits well in hospitality, restaurant and domestic spaces.

The chair’s design allows it to be dismantled into its individual components, making it easier to replace them, recycle and dispose of properly.
Metal bases are powder-coated to reduce the emission of Volatile Organic Compounds.
Some of the available upholstery fabrics are made from post-consumer recycling.
Wood-based materials used in the production is acquired from FSC/PEFC-certified producers.

Alejandro Valdés

Opgeleid in industrieel ontwerp en marketing, begon Alejandro Valdés (Asturias, Spanje, 1975) zijn ontwerptraject in Milaan en Barcelona bij Fiat Auto Advanced Design, Bonetto Design en Mario Ruiz design studio. Van 2008 tot 2019 werkte hij samen met Lievore Altherr Molina, gericht op het ontwerp en projectmanagement van collecties voor Andreu World, Arper, Enea, Donati, Fast,... Meer tonen

Opgeleid in industrieel ontwerp en marketing, begon Alejandro Valdés (Asturias, Spanje, 1975) zijn ontwerptraject in Milaan en Barcelona bij Fiat Auto Advanced Design, Bonetto Design en Mario Ruiz design studio. Van 2008 tot 2019 werkte hij samen met Lievore Altherr Molina, gericht op het ontwerp en projectmanagement van collecties voor Andreu World, Arper, Enea, Donati, Fast, Foscarini, Sellex, Tecno, Tribù en Verzelloni. In 2015 voltooide hij de Master in Marketing Management aan de EAE business school in Barcelona, wat zijn strategische ontwerpinzicht verbreedde met een onderstreept "gevoel voor de markt". Met een natuurlijke gevoeligheid voor productontwerp en een diepgaande kennis van technologie en industriële processen, zette hij in 2019 de volgende stap in zijn carrière toen hij zijn eigen studio in Barcelona opende. Zijn benadering van ontwerp is eerlijk, essentieel en hedendaags, op zoek naar het natuurlijke evenwicht dat voortkomt uit herkenbare gebaren, aandacht voor details en coherent gebruik van materialen. Naast zijn werk als ontwerper, is Valdés docent op de Master in Meubelontwerp aan de Elisava design school van Barcelona.
