Table Flaner

The Flaner table was inspired by traditional metal urban furniture, but its form has been modernized with the organic form of its legs. The curved lines of the base are the distinctive element that links it to the rest of the collection and contrasts with the surface of the tabletop. Made of steel with an outdoor powder-coated finish, the table is durable, easy to clean and weatherproof, thus particularly suitable for public outdoor spaces.

Can the Flaner table be kept in the sun?

Yes. The Flaner table is painted with a GSB- and Qualicoat-compliant exterior powder coating that is UV-resistant and abrasion-resistant. As a result, it performs well in sunny areas.

Is the Flaner table rust resistant?

Yes. The Flaner table is made of galvanised steel sheet and painted with an exterior powder coating, which effectively protects it from corrosion.

Does the Flaner table fall over in the wind?

No. The Flaner table is stable, well-balanced, and suitable for outdoor use. It is ideal for open terraces, gardens and patios.

Does the Flaner table sink into the ground?

No. The Flaner table is designed not to sink into the ground. The legs of the Flaner model are fitted with special washers so it remains stable even on soft surfaces.

Can I fix the Flaner table to the ground?

Yes. The Flaner table can be fitted with fixing brackets that allow it to be bolted to the ground. This protects it from accidental movement and possible theft.

Why is the furniture coating not smooth?

Its structured surface is more resistant to scratches and stays clean longer.

Is the furniture safe for public use?

Yes. We design our furniture with public and commercial spaces in mind, so each model is tested for stability, durability and safety. It will work well in restaurants, office terraces or relaxation areas.

Does the Flaner table have to be used only outdoors?

No – many models also looks great indoors, especially in public, office and residential spaces. Its design and finish allow it to be used both outdoors and indoors.

Design

Maria Jeglińska-Adamczewska

Maria Jeglińska-Adamczewska was born in in Fointainebleau, France, in 1983. In 2007, she graduated from the prestigious ECAL’s industrial design course in Lausanne, and was awarded a scholarship from the IKEA foundation. She has worked in recognised design studios, e.g. for Konstantin Grcic, Alexander Taylor and Galerie kreo. In 2012, she established her own studio – Office for Design & Research. The studio focuses on industrial design (furniture, lighting, functional objects), research projects and exhibitions. Her clients include amongst other: Ligne Roset, Kvadrat, Plato, Trame, Vitra, Hermès, St. Etienne Design Biennale, London Design Festival, Instytut Adama Mickiewicza, Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej in Warsaw. Her work has participated in numerous Polish and international exhibitions, e.g.: Design Museum, Centre Pompidou Metz, Villa Noailles, The Aram gallery and Triennale di Milano. In 2012, Maria curated the “Punkty Widzenia / Punkty Siedzenia” (“Ways of Seeing/Sitting”) exhibition at the Łódź Design Festival. In 2016, she was the co-curator and designer of the Polish Pavilion at the London Design Biennale. Between 2018 and 2020, she worked as the creative director of the ARENA DESIGN fair in Poznań, Poland.
