Gravity takes the idea of executive furniture to a whole new level. The massive traditional furniture has been modernised with minimalist design. Simple forms have been designed to create a harmonious arrangement of all spaces in the office. The details repeated in all models in the family enhance the elegance and representative character of the furniture, at the same time making it more slender and light.
The Gravity collection of executive furniture will fulfil all needs of the team. Desks, tables, cabinets and multimedia stations are dedicated to meetings and presentations, team- and individual work, as well as for hosting guests. All can be configured to match the preferences of the user, as it is possible to choose their sizes, finishes and additional functions, such as the height adjustment mechanism, media boxes or Bluetooth module.
The collection's name refers to the characteristic worktops supported on a single fulcrum that seem to defy the rules of gravity. The desks and tables look like they are floating in the air. This impression is enhanced by slanted edges, a detail typical to all the furniture in the family. Both features make the furniture lighter and more slender, providing an elegant and modern look. The collection was designed for executive offices and exclusive office, conference and public spaces.
The designer Dymitr Malcew likes to work at the peripheries and intersections of disciplines and cultures. While designing the Gravity collection he was inspired by modernist architecture and modern technology – and the result is a family of minimalist executive furniture with carefully designed construction elements.
I’m inspired by things that happen on the periphery and at the intersection of disciplines, cultures and experiences. Regardless of the scale, form or style of the product, designing “experiences” is always the priority. Frame, material and detail is a form of communication with the user.
