The distinctive feature of the Flaner chairs are their curved legs, which modernise the typology of traditional urban furniture. All elements of the chair have been developed to provide maximum outdoor functionality: the paint is weather-resistant, the legs are finished with washers to prevent sinking into the ground, and optional armrests provide comfortable support for the forearms. Moreover, the chairs stack for easy storage.

Maria Jeglińska-Adamczewska was born in in Fointainebleau, France, in 1983. In 2007, she graduated from the prestigious ECAL’s industrial design course in Lausanne, and was awarded a scholarship from the IKEA foundation. She has worked in recognised design studios, e.g. for Konstantin Grcic, Alexander Taylor and Galerie kreo.
In 2012, she established her own studio – Office for Design & Research. The studio focuses on industrial design (furniture, lighting, functional objects), research projects and exhibitions. Her clients include amongst other: Ligne Roset, Kvadrat, Plato, Trame, Vitra, Hermès, St. Etienne Design Biennale, London Design Festival, Instytut Adama Mickiewicza, Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej in Warsaw.
Her work has participated in numerous Polish and international exhibitions, e.g.: Design Museum, Centre Pompidou Metz, Villa Noailles, The Aram gallery and Triennale di Milano. In 2012, Maria curated the “Punkty Widzenia / Punkty Siedzenia” (“Ways of Seeing/Sitting”) exhibition at the Łódź Design Festival. In 2016, she was the co-curator and designer of the Polish Pavilion at the London Design Biennale. Between 2018 and 2020, she worked as the creative director of the ARENA DESIGN fair in Poznań, Poland.
