High Stool Afi

Manufactured to reflect the best features of Scandinavian design – AFI high stool proves to be a significant element of any interior regardless of the leading style. Effortlessly adapting to the given situation, AFI superbly fulfils its task in various types of spaces, from residential interiors and offices to hotels, restaurants as well as canteens. AFI high stool is offered in two variants. The idea behind the option with the backrest was to mirror the design of the AFI chair but elevate the user higher off the ground simultaneously granting new possibilities. The sitting position is supported by the frame which contour ends slightly above the veneer plywood seat. Both variants provide a feet rest thanks to the beam between the frame legs. The backrest and seat in two oak options and the universal black matte frame ensure that each user will find their ideal configuration.

Product features

Gudmundur Ludvik

Gudmundur Ludvik is an Icelandic designer based in Denmark. Gudmundur’s roots are planted deep in the Scandinavian tradition, combining craftsmanship, art and design. He worked as a carpenter and cabinetmaker for several years, then studied sculpture at the Icelandic Academy of Arts before moving to Copenhagen, where he completed his formal education as a furniture designer at...
Gudmundur Ludvik is an Icelandic designer based in Denmark. Gudmundur’s roots are planted deep in the Scandinavian tradition, combining craftsmanship, art and design. He worked as a carpenter and cabinetmaker for several years, then studied sculpture at the Icelandic Academy of Arts before moving to Copenhagen, where he completed his formal education as a furniture designer at the Danish Design School in 2002. This has been a natural and logical journey for Gudmundur, and has developed his skills in working creatively, combining playful, technical and aesthetic aspects of design. I am intrigued by the balance between simplicity and complexity. Exploring challenges through multiple perspectives helps me in understanding and reducing them to the core and transforming into simple and intuitive solutions.
